Who am I
Tapani Suonto became known in the 1970s as a singing evangelist, whose LP "Trubaduurin laulu" and especially the song "Siipeni murtuneet" made him known in Christian circles. His music was released on a total of four different recordings. However, the Friday for Christ campaign he launched in Helsinki
in 1983 received greater attention. The event filled the churches every Friday and spread to several locations in Finland.
At the turn of the 2000s, the activities that began as the FC (Friday for Christ) campaign expanded into a missionary organization that spread to Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. It was named One Way Mission.
The faith-based organization spread to developing countries without the support of any denomination, establishing orphanages, clinics, schools, nursing homes for the disabled and the elderly, congregations, etc.
In 2003, Tapani founded the first One Way church in Helsinki and became its pastor. The church grew to a community of 400 people. In 2017, the activities expanded to different parts of Finland and churches were started in 40 different locations. In the turmoil of the corona epidemic, some of the nascent churches closed down, but about 30 communities remained, which have continued to grow. As the work expanded, a course center called One Way Center was established in the town of Hauho. Also Toivon Majatalo, a center for men in crisis, ws started there.
Tapani is known today as a preacher and Bible teacher, whose teachings from life experience have spread throughout Finland through One Way’s media work and literature. He has written 13 books, some of which have also been published in many other languages. He has already left leadership duties to younger people, but continues to travel around teaching and proclaiming the gospel both in Finland and abroad. He also serves as the pastor of One Way Church in Espoo. Tapani has a wife, two children and two grandchildren. He lives in Espoo.

Why these new pages?
In recent years, I have met more and more people who say they know me well – even though I don’t know them. They have listened to my talks and teachings on YouTube and have received help in their lives through them. Among these, there have also been more and more young people and young adults who have awakened to a longing for a deeper understanding of the Bible and a healthy foundation for their own spiritual lives. Today, people searching for the meaning of life and a living connection with God are on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Discord, Facebook, etc. In the midst of all this, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me. I was less than 30 years old in 1983 when I was called to start the Friday for Christ campaign and go to the streets of Helsinki. The reason was very simple: people are on the streets, and that is why we also need to go there to tell people about Christ. Today, people are on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Discord, Facebook, etc. and I need to go there. Again, I don’t know where it will all lead, but it will become clear when I step forward. My social media For decades, I have preached the gospel in Finland and in mission fields and taught people with the goal of leading them to true discipleship and the richness of life in Christ. Over the decades, a large number of my sermons and Bible lessons have been filmed, as well as my books and various longer TV series have been published. I have also reached people through music and art. The Lord called me to put all of this together in a package that everyone can reach, and at the same time create a platform where I can be reached. This is how this personal social media was born. Short videos and Discord Short videos are today's fashion trend, with which people reach tens of thousands of young people in no time at all. Videos lasting a few tens of seconds spread like wildfire. Discord is a place where thousands of young people can gather virtually, and not only Finns are reached there, but people from a wide variety of countries. It is a completely international field. Social media has exploded in a short time into a huge field of opportunities, where the proclamation of the gospel and the teaching of the Bible must be taken. I have a large amount of material from decades and I want to share it with people as a help and encouragement – to those who want to hear. Free Audiobooks I publish many of my books as free audiobooks so that anyone can link them to their friends and relatives for free. I also have a large number of teaching and sermon videos, music and podcasts on my site that are freely available for sharing. Artists and songwriters can join me in sharing the results of their work for the joy and help of others in need in the mission fields. It is better to do something for your fellow man and fail at that than to do nothing and succeed at that.
